Romance on the Run plot

After singer Lily Lamont and her gangster boyfriend Charlie Cooper steal a valuable necklace from Phelps' jewelry store, Phelps orders JW Ridgeway, manager of the insurance company, to recover the necklace. Despite Police Lieutenant Eckhardt's doubts, Ridgeway hires private investigator Barry Drake. Eckhardt believes that Drake is also a thief.
