By 1900, Bellingham House in Newburgh had stood empty for 40 years after the death of its last resident Elizabeth Harkness. Some say she was murdered. Retired couple Henry and Emilie Smedhurst, who only know that Elizabeth Harkness died there, buy the house. According to local lore, this house is haunted, but Henry doesn't believe in such nonsense. The Smedhursts then hire young Annette Allenby. Anette has to keep Emilie company. However, over time mysterious things happen in the house and sometimes Annette feels like something or someone is taking possession of her...
