The Blue Parrot plot
Petty criminal and driver Rocks Owen is summoned at night during his visit to The Blue Parrot nightclub in Soho. The next morning, Owen is found dead and Police Inspector Chester leads the investigation. Chester gets help from the American agent Bob Herrick, who is seconded to Scotland Yard. The only clue the police have is that Taps Campbell, waiter at The Blue Parrot, tried to pawn a valuable pen from Owen. However, Campbell shows up in hospital seriously injured after being hit by a car.
