"The Golden Tenor Voice Lives on the Silver Screen in 11 Haunting Songs A Romance of Love's Young Dream!"

Sean (John McCormack) is a great tenor and he is currently working part time. He lives in a village in Ireland close to Mary, the woman he has always loved. Mary's aunt convinced her to marry a man for his money, but he recently left her, leaving her without money. Mary and her two children, Eileen and Tad, then move in with the selfish and frugal Aunt Elizabeth and they feel miserable. Eileen falls in love with Fergus, a young man who leaves for Dublin in hopes of making his fortune there.
