"His First Modern Role-As a sly promoter of Young Romance-In the Most Sparkling, Most Human Drama You Yet Have seen"
Automaker James Alden is advised by his doctors to retire and he follows that advice out of respect for his wife Laura and daughter Babs. Not only is James bored after six months, but a life insurance agent tells him that retired men have a bad risk factor. That's why James secretly responds to a newspaper ad about a garage for sale. Under the alias Charlie Miller, James buys half of the garage. The other half had already been sold to Bill Merrick who will now become his partner. However, former owner Peterson has not told James and Bill that he is opening a new gas station nearby. This gas station is located on the newly constructed highway where most of the traffic passes.
