Still a small, fine successful film by Jan Ole Gerster. Quite enjoyed - a day in the life of a layabout - striking the perfect balance between humor and drama. The short playing time is also ideal and ensures that it does not become bored or excessive.

We immediately recognize Tom Schilling, whom I mainly know from Friedhelm Winter in the miniseries Unsere Mütter, Unsere Väter (2013). Here he plays a good-for-nothing who doesn't know what he wants to do with his life. He hardly has or takes responsibilities and sees what the day brings him. His only concern is his daily cup of coffee, but in a sublime way he fails to do so on this audacious day.

Oh boy is a light-hearted film, but it is also recognizable. The soundtrack is playful like the character Niko. Well done by Schilling. I couldn't place the black and white images, so it was best in color. Not an exceptional film with exceptional events, but it is well put together. One day he comes across a number of people who are seeking help or attention. Maybe that's where his talent lies. He was empathetic and willing to listen. For example, I really liked the scene in the grandmother's armchair, but his reticence towards Julika, his unfortunate neighbor or the bar hanger were also sincere. Maybe something can still be made of him?

Nice film about a young man who has stopped studying and doesn't really know what he wants with his life. Rather fragmentary in design, but entertaining here and there. As a whole, it has too little to offer. The film is certainly not too long and the soundtrack and tempo are also nice.
