"Something big was leftover."
After the disastrous food storm from the first film, Flint and his friends are forced to leave town. Flint accepts an invitation from his idol Chester V to join the Live Corp Company, tasked with cleaning up the island and where the world's best inventors design technologies for the betterment of humanity. However, when Flint discovers that his machine is still working and now breeding food mutants, he and his friends must once again save the world.

I gave this one a try and I thought it was a decent movie. A bit more suitable for a younger audience, but it wasn't too bad. Fairly simple story, but there were some nice finds in it.
The animations were very colorful, but neat.
Maybe a little more suitable for <12 year olds, but I didn't get bored with it either.

The Raining Meatballs 2 is an excellent sequel in my opinion. The film manages to surprise just as much as its predecessor. The new characters were a hilarious addition and entertained me immensely. I appreciate this second part just as much as its predecessor. However, I think it will be done with 2 parts.

The proof that you sometimes have to throw away leftovers. Because that's Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs 2, a clique. Before that, I hadn't expected that the level between the first and second film would differ so bizarrely. But unlike that sympathetic Lord and Miller animated film, this sequel is rather annoying and also remarkably unfunny. The film is repeated here and there and all the new elements add little fun. The design is actually even more cartoonish, especially with the arrival of such a Chester V. The story is extremely predictable and much too crammed with a lot of unpleasant bustle. Probably a great movie to entertain four-year-olds, as a new beast appears every five seconds and makes crazy jumps. The only thing that is somewhat fun is James Caan teaching a bunch of gherkins to fish. That's a phrase you don't say often.
