Crocodile 2: Death Swamp (2002)

Much less than the first part,

Annoying characters, deterioration of the location, a bullshit storyline to start with, quite lacking atmosphere; it’s no longer fun after the first part. It’s a real shame, but a sequel to a great pulp flick fails to entertain anywhere.

The croc still looks okay, but it gets pretty boring pretty quickly. In short, the fun is just gone after part 1.

Very weak sequel. The first part wasn't great to begin with, but it was at least entertaining. There is very little of that left in this part as well.

The film features annoying stereotypical characters, with the big bad black guy as the absolute low point. That in itself wouldn't necessarily be so bad, but it is also very disappointing in terms of kills and gore. The CGI is mediocre to bad and the film has very little spectacle to offer. Yes, the crocodile snatches a small helicopter out of the sky once. Fun in itself, were it not that that scene actually looked incredibly fake.

The crocodile remains the absolute star of the film, but in a monstrosity like this, unfortunately, it doesn't take much for that.

Fun, witty pulp strictly for the connoisseur. Not to be taken seriously, but with plenty of humor. And I just find that combination really enjoyable. It's definitely in the vein of the first two Anaconda films. Nothing wrong with that, just don't think about it too much. For the budget, it's a class movie. I give it a 6.
