Thriller and drama are well combined with a fairly nuanced view of environmental activism. The view on the capitalistic companies that act dubiously is quite simple (underexposed), but well it is not a documentary.

Marling, who also co-wrote the script, usually tries to say something with her films. She plays a great role and the supporting roles are nicely filled in, where the characters also get some attention. You empathize with this and the film remains fascinating.

Nice thriller about the infiltration of a group of radical eco-activists. Could have been a little more exciting. Film pays particular attention to the characters and, in my opinion, too little to the consequences for the environment, which has been neglected in America for decades and that is certainly not getting any better under the current President Trump.

Despite the mediocre acting with some good will, it is still quite sufficient.

Well-directed thriller with careful camera work by Roman Vasyanov, as well as strong characterizations and performances, especially by Brit Marling as a private intelligence agent who infiltrates a group of eco-terrorists. But the scenario, in which Marling's growing sympathy for the group members she works with presents her with various dilemmas, isn't particularly original and therefore the story isn't surprising enough to keep you hooked for just under 2 hours.
