Cherchez Hortense plot
Damien, a professor specializing in Chinese civilization, is pressured by his wife to contact his father, a high-ranking official, regarding Zaria Velickovic, a woman who does not have the necessary residency papers. Asking his father something is a real torture for Damien, something he doesn't dare admit to his wife. Meanwhile, his wife shows an unhealthy interest in one of the actors in her theater troupe and Damien falls under the spell of Aurore, a charming young lady who shares similar interests and even shows an interest in him...
