The Ciraulo family lives in poverty in the Zen neighborhood near Palermo. But they do own a luxurious black Volvo. This minor miracle is the result of compensation the Ciraulos received after the death of their child, who was accidentally killed in a shooting between mafiosi. But Trancedi, the son, went out with his girlfriend and damaged the door of the car. The damage does not seem serious, but the father violently attacked his son, after which the young man killed him in self-defense.
