"A Romance of the Days When 'Frisco Was the Paris of America!---The Barbary Coast!---The Fire of 1906!---Massive!---Unprecedented"
The year is 1906. Spanish aristocrat Don Hernandez Vasquez lives with his lovely daughter Dolores on a hacienda in the settlement of San Francisco. Despite going through hard times, Don Hernandez refuses to heed rich businessman Michael Brandon's pleas to sell his possessions. Young lawyer Terrence O'Shaughnessy, originally hired by Brandon to convince the Vasquez family to move, changes his mind when he falls in love with Dolores. Chris Buckwell, who is responsible for all the illegal activities in the Chinatown area, however, meanwhile offers himself up as a 'close friend' of the Vasquez family, but he is all the while out on their estate and Dolores as his bride.
