Holes plot

"Some secrets are too big to keep hidden."

Stanley Yelnats digs into the ground and into his past. He is a boy with an unusual attraction to the accident. The Yelnats family was cursed several generations ago. Stanley himself is therefore not surprised when he ends up in 'Camp Green Lake', a kind of juvenile detention center. Together with his fellow delinquents, he has to dig holes "to build character". It slowly but surely becomes clear to the boy that the guards (Sigourney Weaver and John Voight) have a completely different reason for that assignment. Can Stanley shake off the misfortune?

Mediocre film in which a boy is sent to a labor camp for juvenile delinquents, where he has to dig holes. In itself an original story in which the course is not easy to predict. However, the film is a bit on the boring side because of the structure where the connection between the various flashbacks only becomes clear too late.

I had to read the book once for English in school and I have to say it was one of the best books that you had to read. I like the book more than the movie, but the movie isn't bad either.
