Great!

The plot of the film is as simple as can be: bunch of Russian soldiers (who cackle merrily in English, but oh well) are looking for a couple of comrades held hostage, and of course that doesn't exactly go smoothly. They are stranded on some obscure Nazi factory, in which the notorious Dr. Frankenstein's household. And soon they are met with resistance.

The first half hour of the film is a bit on the dull side, but Raaphorst brings life to the brewery in time and pulls out all the stops in a hurry. Lovely creature design; the monsters actually seem really menacing. And the found footage style that I was skeptical about at first definitely pays off later in the film. Especially the hectic chases through the scruffy-looking corridors are great. The final scene was also not really unsatisfactory, but my stomach was actually in the mood for some more fat stuff.

Creative guy so that Raaphorst; so he can certainly make more of them in the future. At the beginning I had my doubts, but once the creatures appeared on the scene I had long since forgotten the disastrous acting. Was also suspiciously reminiscent of Wolfenstein all, presumably the director is not unfamiliar with the series. Thick 3.5*.

After twenty or thirty minutes I had little faith in it. Found footage usually has little added value to me, mediocre actors who play Russians by simply speaking English with a Russian accent is also not a good start, and little or nothing interesting happens, just some unuplifting war scenes. But after that you can enjoy a delicious piece of cult horror for an hour. Great monsters that have been put together by a descendant of Frankenstein from remains of soldier and mechanical parts and that also just look really cool, a fair amount of gore and gore, and thankfully no exaggerated amounts of silly humor, though the cult wink is clearly on top. So I clearly fall into the camp joolstein here, and have enjoyed myself surprisingly well with this piece of Dutch pride,

Amusing.

Not even a very bad film, this one from our own Richard Raaphorst. I don't know the name by the way, but he manages to give the genre an original twist with this film, which is quite entertaining at times in its rather stupid concept.

The found footage content is sometimes nicely done, although I would have liked a first person view to fit in here better, because Raaphorst sometimes even seems to be heading in that direction. A number of chases and fights in particular no longer looked like found footage.

It all started off a bit boring, but once in the factory things just turn around and it gets a lot more fun. Some nice catchy action scenes, it all looks pretty simple and you can't really speak highly of acting, but yes.

Those animals are nice and rude and sometimes even quite creative, which makes for some very nice moments. Once towards the end I found it a bit less, the chases and firefights are the moments that stand out.

Nice to have seen, it is all very simple and the first fifteen minutes is a bit of a bite, but after that it is fun.
