Kyoshiro finds himself on the side of the government he despises when Edo Castle, home to all the senior government officials, is threatened by a group of students who want to avenge their master's death by razing the castle to the ground. Kyoshiro is conflicted because on the one hand he does not want to help the government, but on the other hand there are thousands of people near the castle whose lives are in danger from the attack...
