Ellery Queen's Penthouse Mystery plot
"A KILLER IN THE BAG! WOMEN IN HIS HAIR!"
Chinese ventriloquist Gordon Cobb is murdered by a gang of jewel thieves. Baffled by the conflicting leads, Police Inspector Queen asks his son, private investigator Ellery Queen, to help him out. The list of suspects includes Cobb's former partner Walsh, the so-called nobleman Count Brett, the magician Jim Ritter, the Chinese patriot Lois Ling and the incognito journalist Sanders.
