The Numbers Station

Very mediocre. A claustrophobic atmosphere, dark spaces, the good guys being surrounded by the bad guys, the makers do everything they can to keep it interesting and exciting. They just forget to tell an interesting story because the plot is very thin. Cusack and Akerman do their best, but are also unable to do much. I'm just glad it didn't go the romantic way. The action is nice and at times quite exciting. The rest is a bit uninspired.

Come on, the plot may have been well thought out, but without you getting to know any usefulness or necessity, it remains quite empty. I'm just a Cusack fan, even though he regularly delivers mediocre films. In the end I enjoyed myself again with his stoic look. Sufficient *3.0

It's no wonder this 13-in-a-dozen thriller came straight to DVD. John Cusack sleepwalks through his role in a thriller that gets its dynamics more from the 'flashing' (read: messy) editing than from any build-up of tension or a captivating plot. Cusack plays a CIA agent who, after a botched operation, is sentenced to guard a numbers station, from which scrambled (and untraceable) numbers are used to distribute classified orders to CIA agents. Not coincidentally, the only user of that station is an attractive young woman [Malin Akerman] and a crook (whose identity is not so hard to guess) is up to something that will put Cusack the graceful lady in protection. have to take. A B-movie with a B-cast that is at most good for those who like to fall asleep on the couch. Great TV feed for after midnight. Good night!
