Beloved plot

"The MUSICAL ROMANCE OF A CENTURY....!"

The musical career of the Austrian composer Carl Hausmann comes to an end during the revolution of 1848. Carl is taken by his mother, Baroness Irene von Hausmann, to the south of America. There Carl built a respectable reputation in the years just before the American Civil War. When Carl is forced to move to New York with his new bride Lucy Tarrant, he languishes there professionally for several years.
