Shy high school girl Carrie White (Chloë Grace Moretz) is raised by her terrifyingly religious mother Margaret (Julianne Moore). Judging by the many negative reactions, I started this film with some skepticism, but that turned out to be unfounded. The film is well put together and the special effects are very well done. The acting performances are also not disappointing and the film looks very nice. The build-up to the climax is also excellent. All in all, an entertaining film and a more than credible remake.
