In the first part I already wondered what exactly was being attempted and here too it all seems to be purely about the show value. It is nice that this time two well-known breakdancers are involved (Lilou and Just Do It) but their moves are also more or less swept aside by the editing. The dancing is therefore really bizarrely little and the emphatic soundtrack and the lack of both build-up and subtlety create a kind of superficial video clip without the intention to create real exciting battles. The blossoming relationship takes up a large part of the running time again and she was certainly an attractive lady but again unnecessary problems were thrown in and I wondered if it is even allowed to put such a tango in your choreography. The acting could not make up for much. Furthermore I found it strange that the police came to raid.

After popcorn vendor Ash [Falk Hentschel] embarrasses himself in an impromptu dance battle with dance champion Vince [Anwar Burton], Eddie [George Sampson] volunteers to be his manager. Eddie comes up with the “genius” idea of traveling across Europe to gather the best dancers to take on Vince’s dance crew, ‘Invincible’. Where do they get the money and why would these superior dancers leave their possessions behind for a mediocre dancer and a dance competition in London is just one of the many questions Jane English’s lousy screenplay refuses to answer. Sofia Boutella plays the obligatory love interest, a Latin dancer who of course saves the day at the last minute after a lot of romantic wrangling. Hentschel has no charisma and the chemistry with Boutella is nowhere to be found, but worst of all, Max (Giwa) and Dania (Pasquini) opt for a music video visual style with rapid cuts that ruin the hard work of the talented dancers. A disgrace.
