"There Never Was a Guy Like Eddy!"
Biographical film about the life of the famous pianist and bandleader Eddy Duchin. In the late 1920s, newly graduated pharmacist and aspiring pianist Eddy Duchin (Tyrone Power) travels from Boston to New York, where he expects to play with Leo Reisman's orchestra at New York's swanky Central Park Casino. However, he appears to have misunderstood Reisman's invitation. On his way out he meets the rich “society girl” Marjorie Oelrichs (Kim Novak), who asks Reisman to hire Eddy for the time being. He plays during the breaks and becomes a successful pianist. Two years later, Marjorie and Eddy get married. Marjorie gives birth to a son, Peter, but dies in childbirth...
