The Cradle of Courage plot
A gangster boss, Square' Kelly, enlisted to fight in Europe during World War I. Back in America, the reception is depressing. He therefore accepts the offer of a buddy of the front: he is the son of the police captain and so Square' Kelly becomes a policeman. He now has to deal with his old environment against whom he now has to act.
