"They thought the streets were mean. Then they went back to high school."
Schmidt (Jonah Hill) and Jenko (Channing Tatum) decide it's time to put their teenage years behind them. They decide to join the police in the secret "Jump Street" team. Their first assignment is to infiltrate the high school undercover. Fortunately, they still look young and hip, but very soon Schmidt and Jenko risk their lives investigating a violent and dangerous drug trade. Moreover, they notice that at school nothing is the same anymore as "in their time". In fact; they never thought that the insecurities of an adolescent and all the problems that come with it would mean a serious confrontation...

At most a handful of successful jokes does not justify a playing time of almost two hours. The lack of acting talent of Jonah Hill and Channing Tatum doesn't help either. Very mediocre, with one scene that stands out: the chase with the limousines.

Saw this before, but apparently forgot to post a review on it. Also with the sequel, by the way, that is also coming. I didn't think this part really excelled in the genre, buddy movies or comedy in general.
That doesn't make it any less entertaining, though. Hill and Tatum are an entertaining duo, especially the opening here. After that, the film weakens into a somewhat normal American comedy full of bland and clumsy humor, which are sometimes fun.
It is mainly the duo that continues to fascinate, the film is never very funny but looks away well. Nothing special has been done on a visual level, except for some bright images but that's about it.
Just a movie that is made to entertain, but also stays that way. This is not a masterpiece, but it is quite funny and fast.

A review. One of the best comedies out there. Jonah Hill and Channing Tatum are doing really well together. It's amazing how exaggerated the humor is sometimes. Brie Larsson and Dave Franco look really young. I didn't have that feeling with Channing Tatum but I don't think I've seen him after 2014 actually 
. It is striking that this film dates back to 2013. 2013! How quickly time passes.
A really great comedy with a great soundtrack, beastly action, typical college stuff and therefore highly recommended for people who like exaggerated, sometimes more vulgar humor.
