Nova Zembla plot
Nova Zembla tells the legendary, true story of the adventurous exploration mission of Willem Barentsz (Derek de Lint), which was recorded at the time by the young crew member Gerrit de Veer (Robert de Hoog). In 16th century Amsterdam, where the ship's crew is assembled, Gerrit de Veer is an assistant to the well-known Reverend Petrus Plancius (Jan Decleir) and, moreover, in love with his beautiful daughter Catharina (Doutzen Kroes). As the great initiator of the voyage of discovery, Plancius secretly decides to send the blue Gerrit on the expedition of Barentsz and Heemskerck (Victor Reinier) to prove that he is worthy of his daughter's love.

When a film gets bad reviews, I try not to let it lead me and form my own opinion.
But I definitely have a shared negative experience with this film.
Badly acted, screenplays illogical, messy direction. The opening scene was terrifying.
In terms of language it was too 'modern'.
Costume and color in the movie was okay.
Missed opportunity this film about an important Dutch historical event..

With Nova Zembla, the lower limit of what you as a viewer can handle has pretty much been reached. Doutzen Kroes on a swing, it really doesn't get much more exciting. Laughable if it weren't so sad.

Pretty content-less. What a boring place there on Nova Zembla.
Those guys have been in bed for half a movie / half a year....
