"Somewhere between L.A. and N.Y. Jake found the meaning of Christmas."
Jake Wilkinson is a self-centered college student who likes to organize things for himself. He only has one thing on his mind: be home in time for Christmas, otherwise he will lose the classic Porsche that his father promised him. However, just days before the deadline, Jake wakes up in the middle of the California desert, stranded and penniless, dressed as Santa Claus and with a white beard taped to his face! In a desperate attempt to claim his present, he flies, crawls, cheats and races his way home.

Not the best Christmas movie you can think of, but it's still fun in that respect. It's full of clichés and it's ultimately quite predictable (except that he doesn't take the car yet). I think that if I had seen it as a smaller kid (so at the age that I also saw Home Alone for example) I wouldn't have liked it that much and that also kills the movie a bit since it could also be suitable for a smaller target group. But again, absolutely not a bad movie, quite entertaining even, but not a great movie.

As a Christmas film this production can certainly pass. The acting is not top-notch but the story is not really up to par. Would not watch it a second time, that is for sure.

For once quite nice to see, but I actually expected more. In terms of Christmas atmosphere more than successful, but at the same time it is a film that could have had a bit more in terms of humor. Will undoubtedly be the contribution of Disney, which makes this film feel a bit too much like a film for the youngest target group.
