In 'The Woman with the Camera', filmmaker Hans Keller portrays photographer Letizia Battaglia. She is also known as the photographer of death. In and around Palermo she fought the mafia for years, consistently photographing the victims murdered by the mafia, and whenever she had the chance, also the perpetrators. The film also outlines the history of the mafia, and we see to what extent the mafia still influences everyday life in Palermo.
