Puncture plot

"Madman. Genius. Playboy. Friend. Fool. Lawyer."

Mike Weiss (Chris Evans) is an enigmatic but brilliant young lawyer, but he's also a junkie. He roams from prostitutes and street thugs to high-ranking lawyers and judges, and finds himself embroiled in an ongoing battle to balance his two colliding worlds. When nurse Vicky (Vinessa Shaw) comes into contact with a contaminated needle at work, Mike and his partner Paul Danzinger reluctantly take the case. In their investigation, however, they come across a huge corruption scandal in the healthcare sector. The two young lawyers are soon faced with the biggest and most dangerous lawsuit of their career.

Remarkable story in a film that causes less sensation. This is mainly because the fight of the small against the large mainly consists of usual elements such as money, power and manipulation on the one hand, and on the other two lawyers, one idealist, the other realist. It is of course easy to sympathize, but there is not much more to experience, at least at file level.

For that you have to go to Mike Weiss. A striking and passionate lawyer who sinks his teeth into the case and at the same time struggles with a drug addiction. Evans does a great job, also lifts the film to a slightly higher level, although you had given him a little more time to shape that character a bit more. It's all just a bit too succinct to really unpack. Nevertheless, a decent movie.

We are going to court on this one.

Puncture.

Wow what a movie, a strong, beautiful, moving movie in the shadow of all the bigger movies of 2011. This is really the surprise of the year for me I have heard so little about this movie and came upon it by accident, and I definitely don't regret it.

The story is slow, the actors take their time and the story is well built. But in the end it does become a picture of a film, which is simply well acted, is original and also has a kernel of truth in it.

The two lawyers play very well, one full of dreams but at the same time struggling with the drugs, the other a lot more realistic but with his heart in the right place. In the end, of course, you know that everything will be all right, just like in almost all movies, but it's just very nice to see how they got there and what setbacks they all had to endure. What problems they solved and how they solved them. This was more than worth it.

without a doubt 3.5 Stars.

I certainly enjoyed this film very much, since I work in a hospital myself and I know how big contracts are, this film really fascinated me.
