"Inside every kid is the heart of a champion."
Dan Barnes (Steve Austin) is a former heavyweight boxing champion who decides to turn his back on his violent life. Dan's life is suddenly turned upside down when the new boxing champion brutally defeats every opponent. To secure a new worthy title holder, Dan decides to prepare a newcomer for the biggest challenge of his life.

The average film starring former wrestler Steve Austin usually features a clumsy, straightforward story with decent action.
This Knockout is a bit more subtle than his usual work. Here we are dealing with a kind of cross between the Karate Kid and Rocky in which Steve Austin plays a kind of Mister Miyagi. It must be said that he acts endearingly for his part and succeeds in giving the film something sympathetic.
Nothing about this film is original but it is charming and catchy and that makes the running time of one and a half hours pass quickly.
Above average due to a nice role by Steve Austin.
