Nice old-fashioned action film that suffers a bit from a swaying story. In itself it was a good idea to pit Austin and Trejo against each other, but it is so poorly executed. The setting (remote village) and situation (biker gang) gave every chance to pop, but the scenes hung together like a badly oiled chain, which broke during the final. Too bad, because the links were made of good material.

This direct-to-DVD action movie is a solid revenge movie. Like almost all revenge films, the story is not very intelligent and you can't judge this film on that. What does work is the concept of Steve Austin and Danny Trejo as good versus bad guys. In these kinds of films, in which the hero is given little to talk about and has to have his imposing figure, Austin gets along very well. Trejo as the badguy has a real character head for this and that also worked well and he also did it above expectations.

Bland to begin with, but to call this predictable is an understatement. Same old shit, but with another impressive, mumbling muscle in the lead. Steve Austin has to take this shabby action vehicle in tow and does it all just a bit too clumsy, dry and uninterested. With Trejo as his tequila-drinking self (what else is new) and a horrific Lochlyn Munro, the result is an easy sight to behold, but far from the desired level.
