The "found footage" can still be done with this Moon mission. Execution could have been a little more exciting. A little bit off, but not much worse than that Gravity movie. Nice for a time in between and if you also remove 10 minutes of credits, you're done in 76 minutes.

Solid.

I had quite high expectations for it beforehand. Despite the bad reviews, I knew this movie would be for me. These kind of FF films are up my alley, mainly because I really appreciate this way of filmmaking combined with an extremely nice setting. Far-fetched, but oh so satisfying.

Apollo 18 is clearly not the most exciting film in the genre, nor in its kind, but director López-Gallego nevertheless manages to build a nice atmosphere with the material he has. If these are the images that are supposed to come from the moon, I probably would have believed it too. The smart sound technology and raw security images give the film a realistic tone, and that is advantageous.

Acting is doable and enough is being done with the science fiction. Smart move to keep the threats out of the picture for a long time. Once they do appear, you have to make do with dark shadows and some fast images. I like it because it gives you a mysterious impression of the monsters. It doesn't always work, but in this film it's excellent.

Well arranged for a cheap film, but after a while the lack of tension and oppressive images start to gnaw at you. Ultimately, the horror within this film is worked out and then the film can no longer always find its support. Slightly more interesting characters would also have done the film well, because the ones that are there now are mostly filler.

Interesting, intriguing film overall, helped especially by excellent visual decor. It is not the most original, complex or substantive film, but it is a good one and a half hours of entertainment. Nice ideas and an even nicer execution. It's a shame this movie doesn't get the recognition it deserves. Definitely enjoyed the movie despite its weaknesses.
