Quite a scary film with some nice finds. The film simply ties in with American films. The girl Haruka had a car accident in America and Katie Featherston from the Paranormal Activity films was involved, so as stated in the description she takes the demon with her to Tokyo. I actually think this is a spoiler, because I found it quite surprising that the film has a link to the American films and is therefore part of it.

This movie is great!

Possessed people aren't scary.

This top statement also relates to the first film, but it only came at the end and the damage was not too bad. However, this concept is already running away halfway through the film, so that the tension is already fairly gone by the end. Good, the moment when the sister gets up with her broken legs and shuffles to Koichi's room is strong, but not scary. Furthermore, a series of scenes that were also seen in the original, but longer not with that much impact.

The acting is better and the characters are less annoying than the main characters from the American version, but apart from some atmospheric scenes and the fact that I was not bored, I still think this is a fairly simple remake that never really gets scary.
