What Becomes of the Broken Hearted? plot

"Once they were warriors. Men of Honour. Now five years on one man's battle has only just begun."

When Beth leaves him for a life free from violence and insecurity, Jake turns his back on his family. He finds a new girlfriend, Rita, but then his oldest son Nig is killed in a gang war. Sonny, Nig's younger brother, and his friend Mookie decide to avenge Nig. Together with Tania, Nig's girlfriend, they ask Jake for help. Jake sees nothing in their plan. The three then decide to join a rival gang on their own. They become increasingly entangled in a world of violence. When Jake finally decides to help his son, disaster has already struck. Sequel to Once Were Warriors.
