Terrible movie, Bad dialogue. Sanrda Bullock's acting performances were really bad. She can retire from me. And then that super annoying redhead Alicia Witt. Were they drunk when they cast her? Hugh Grant was okay.

Furthermore, the humor was nowhere to be found in this film. Like the "I-have-to-go-to-the-toilet" scene. Was that supposed to be funny? I don't think so.

Everything could have been much better.

1.5*

“I own the hotel, and I live there. My life is very much like Monopoly.”

Hugh Grant and Sandra Bullock together in a rom-com, what could go wrong? Well, a lot as it turns out. Grant and Bullock are decent but everything else is so incredibly boring and long-winded. The film leans a lot on Grant and Bullock, but they don't have the crackling appeal that is needed in these kinds of films. The dialogues and situations just aren't fun and interesting enough and I really struggled to finish the movie. Too bad, because the two protagonists deserve better.
