Shadow of Fear plot

Danna Forrester one day finds her house ransacked. Someone has written a threat in lipstick on a mirror. Sergeant Lou Amburg can't find anything and at her wits' end, her husband, Martin, takes a security agent from his company, Styran, home to protect his wife. Styran finds out that she used to be in a mental institution and believes that she wrote down the threat herself.
