Europas Neue Musikparade 1958 plot
Daisy Hellmann (Johns), the beautiful daughter of a very wealthy manufacturer, is a journalist for the women's magazine Damenwelt. She writes sniggering columns about the monster 'man'. She plays the craziest pranks to obtain writing material. For the article 'Do Men Only Help Pretty Girls in Need?' she pretends to be a jewel thief. Peter Krüger (Schuman) just saves her from the clutches of justice, but is determined to make her a lady, just like in 'My Fair Lady' and to set her on the right path. Daisy pretends to believe in Peter, who is the bandleader in the revue Montparnasse, but she secretly prepares the article 'The Man as Woman Tamer' on her noisy typewriter. Peter follows her one evening. By the time Daisy notices, it's almost too late. She quickly staged a burglary, which almost killed her. What really kills Daisy, however, is that she has fallen in love with Peter.
