Nathan, der Weise plot

Faithful adaptation of the play Nathan the Wise from 1779 by Gotthold Ephraim Lessing. Nathan is the wise Jewish merchant who comes into contact with the enlightened sultan Saladin during the Third Crusade in the twelfth century in Jerusalem. He also gets to know a young Templar who falls in love with his adopted daughter.
