Heizel '85, Requiem voor een Bekerfinale plot
On May 29, 1985, the final of the European Cup took place in the Heysel Stadium in Brussels. Juventus then won 1-0 against Liverpool, but football lost its innocence that night. The whole of Europe then saw on television how dozens of supporters were trampled and die in a corner of the Heysel Stadium, the infamous Blok Z, three quarters of an hour before the game starts. And the whole of Europe will see afterwards that the cup final will be played after all. In this documentary we return to the Heysel Stadium with the question: how on earth could this happen? Who allowed football to be played while 38 corpses were lying next to the stadium and why did this happen?
