Iron Cross plot
Joseph, a retired New York police officer, travels to Nuremberg to visit his son Ronnie. Years ago, he turned his back on his son after refusing to embark on a promising career with the NYPD and married local artist Anna. The rift between them is quickly healed when Joseph is certain that the apartment above them is home to the former SS commander, under the false name Shrager, who murdered his entire family in a Polish forest during World War II. With little hope of ever being tried again, Joseph persuades Ronnie to take the law into his own hands and together they hatch a plan to kill him.
