It won't happen to me often and certainly not with a film with Cary Grant, but in this case I honestly liked the remake more than the original. That is not due to Grant or Irene Dunne, but more to the supporting roles. In addition, I found the dialogues in the remake a bit sharper, in the style of Neil Simon, and I like that.
Original (especially by Grant and Irene Dunne) and remake get the same rating from me, but as a film as a whole, the latter has my slight preference.

Nice film in which a man marries again after his wife has been missing for seven years after a shipwreck. In itself a nice fact and although the film has enough entertaining moments, it could have been worked out a bit more believable in some areas. The cast knows how to have fun.
