With 7 Oscar nominations I expected a bit more.

There are some "annoyingly funny" situations and twists, but there is no more subtle humor, although our three protagonists put their best foot forward.

When a little more "heart" comes in in the second half of the film, the film gets more panache and this certainly turns out better than the lame discussions "law versus real life" from before.

It seems clear to me that the Oscar ratings for this film are due to the ultimate ode to justice, in the States of course.

Nice film in which a woman shelters an escaped prisoner in her house while she has rented it out. The film starts out as a comedy, but during the second half it turns more towards a drama (and this doesn't work very well). It's a good story, but it goes on a bit too long. Of the cast, Jean Arthur knows how to make the most impression. Just not 3.5 stars.
