Brazil plot
"It's only a state of mind."
In an Orwellian future, the population is completely controlled by the state. Sam Lowry is a civil servant who one day discovers an error in one of the papers passing his office. This mistake leads to the arrest of an innocent man. Lowry tries to fix the mistake, but gets himself into trouble.

Excellent film in which a civil servant gets himself into trouble when he tries to rectify an administrative mistake. A socially critical sci-fi film with a humorous and absurd edge. A rather depressing, gray and bureaucratic picture of the future is sketched. The film has a unique and original look (among other things because of all the inventions that come along).

My favorite of Terry Gilliam. Wonderful, unique movie. It's been a year (or maybe even 2 years) since I've seen this movie. I had bought the film on the advice of a previous colleague, but then left it behind for a long time and said "I'll still watch it".
After that, a buddy of mine saw this movie and thought it was a very strange movie that he didn't understand. Leave it for longer and then finally watched it with moderate expectations and I loved it!
The story and the set-up are indeed different and when the film had just ended I had some questions about the story, but that didn't bother me anymore.
You sometimes get a bit distracted from the core of the story because of the separate events and setup, but that quickly came into place for me afterwards.
Let's see if I can score the blu-ray, because I thought this was very good cinematographically and visually!

. no way! This film can be cut to 180 minutes if it's up to me.

What a great movie and what a great sense of humour! What a great story and what a beautiful presentation of it.
But...... what do you want? All top actors and it shows. It is noticeable that they understand their profession and you can see that in what I have typed for this, (?) The humor is typically British and like "Arno74" for example, he doesn't like that and there will be more people like that.
Typical dry humor and you like that..... or not!
For us a wonderful film and strange that we had never seen it because in our circle several people like this genre.
Such a beautiful film that we also reward it with a beautiful score, an 8!
