La Reine et le Cardinal plot

The cardinal of Richelieu dies in 1642 and a few months later he is followed by King Louis XIII. After the death of the king, Queen Anne becomes ruler of the Kingdom. She entrusts the post of Prime Minister to Mazarin, an acquaintance of Richelieu. Like the late cardinal, Mazarin is disliked at court, many of whom seek power and revenge.
