Young Man of Manhattan plot
Toby McLean, a sportswriter meets another reporter, Ann Vaughn, on a fight between Tunney and Jack Dempsey. They end up happily married in a small New York apartment. One day he travels to St. Louis to beat the World Series and there he meets a man named Puff. Although she uses all her feminine wiles, he ignores her and remains faithful to his wife, until his wife becomes a famous magazine writer and he becomes jealous of her success. As a result, he even starts a relationship with Puff. Meanwhile, his distraught wife begins to drink poorly distilled bootleg whiskey and is temporarily blinded. Her husband is really shocked by that and leaves Puff for what she is. He throws himself into his job so he can prove that he takes the reconciliation with Ann seriously...
