Kaidan Oiwa no Borei plot
Tamiya Lyeomon (Tomisaburo Wakayama) is a masterless samurai abandoned by his beautiful wife Oiwa, who doesn't want a murderer for a husband. However, he wants her back if it is the last thing he does. Together with his nefarious friend and crime partner Naosuke, Tamiya works out a ruse to get her back. Their plan works and Tamiya is reunited with his wife, who still loves him. They have a baby boy, but the delivery didn't help Oiwa's appearance and Tamiya soon begins to hate her more and more. Tamiya is approached by his neighbor Ito who makes him an offer. His daughter Oume has been hopelessly in love with Tamiya for quite some time and her parents want them to get married. Tamiya is interested in that, but his current marriage stands in the way.
