Hin Helgu Vé plot
Semi-autobiographical story by director Gunnlaugsson about a seven-year-old boy from a small town. Because his mother is going on a business trip, he has to live with relatives on a small island west of Iceland for a while. The boy is quickly captivated by life there, far from the civilized world. He befriends the 22-year-old daughter of the house. She is getting married and the boy, in his childish way, falls in love with her. He decides to dig up the viking, who is buried under the 'sacred mound' and bring it back to life.
