"A trip to paradise became a mission only a Marine could handle."
A US Marine is on vacation with his wife in a sun-drenched resort in Asia. When the two are ambushed by a group of mobsters and this does not leave him and his wife untouched, the Marine takes the law into his own hands and goes after the gang.

Not bad, but not fantastically good either.
I was actually expecting a bit more action.
Ted DiBiase Jr. is a good wrestler, but acting here was very bad.
Still worth 3* because of the romantic in it.

While the first part was still well entertained by the wonderfully exaggerated action and cheesy characters, this part completely misses the point. The "story" isn't that different from the original movie, but unfortunately they try too much to make it into a serious action movie. This just makes it all a bit wooden and bad. The only entertaining thing was the presence of Michael Rooker.

No more comments after 2019 (my own assessment) so I looked back after 3 years and I stick to my previous comments:
This 2nd part is just as good as part 1, this time a large resort where the protagonist attends a party with his wife, but then suddenly a big gang arrives.
Lots of shootings, explosions and tension.
The ending was also delicious!
