L'Hirondelle et la Mésange plot

Pierre is an inland skipper who sails the canals in the North with his wife and sister-in-law. He owns two ships with names of birds. To make ends meet, he illegally trades in diamonds. When he hires Michel as a pilot, he is unaware that he is actually a bastard, determined to seduce Pierre's sister-in-law in order to find the secret hiding place of the savings.
