"It's chillin'!"
Semi-autobiographical story about Def Jam founder Russell Simmons, referred to in the film as Russell Walker. On his label Krush Groove he contracts all the young talent on the street. When one of his acts (Run DMC) scores a hit, it's time to make things bigger. However, Russell has no money to print so many records and borrows them from a drug dealer cum loan shark, Jay. Paying back only becomes a problem... At the same time, Russell and his little brother Run fall for the same lady (Sheila E.)
