The Overlanders plot
"A dramatic epic that echoes the heart beats of Australia's Greatness!"
Set in Australia at the start of World War II, this drama is based on a true story. Dan McAlpine is a close-to-nature rancher who is ordered to kill his more than a thousand animals rather than leave them in the hands of the Japanese, who are rapidly approaching the Australian shores. But instead of following orders, McAlpine and his team of drivers decide to drive the herd on foot about a thousand miles further inland to the north coast of Australian Queensland.
