Land of Thirst plot
Khanyiso Phalo was the son of an African tribesman. When he was still young, Khanyiso was separated from his family by British soldiers and sent to England to study medicine. Years later, in 1913, Khanyiso returns to Africa when colonial racism has reached its peak. There he meets a young English woman named Margaret Harding, with whom he falls madly in love. However, there is a violent protest against their relationship from both the settlers and vile soldiers. The couple has no choice but to hide, lie and cheat in order to maintain their love and escape from the people who want to kill them.
